Brock's switchboard became "the Witchboard" today, as Linda Cranford, Linda Holder and Beth Winterbottom dressed for the occasion.

Offices around Brock competed in the United Way Halloween Decorating Contest today.

Competitors included Parking Services, who turned their space into a haunted house, and Recreation Services, which had a zombie theme. The Student Development Centre’s theme was “under the sea”. The lower-level office housing Brock’s switchboard operators became the “Witchboard” today, with a skeleton that squirts water, a stuffed spider that drops from the doorway and motion-activated ghouls.

The winner was Career Services, who decorated their Learning Commons space to resemble Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Food donations were collected for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold. Employees could also dress up for a $2 donation to the United Way.

The next United Way event is a trivia night on Wednesday, Nov. 10. The cost is $20 per player with tables of eight people. To participate, email Tara Franken at Tara.Franken@brocku.ca

Career Services - including Kara Hammong, Adam Hogan and Peggy Karges - took top prize.
