The 1st Canadian Outdoor Orientation Program Symposium (COOPS) is a forum for administrators, program directors, researchers, student leaders, program alumni and anyone interested in outdoor orientation programs to discuss approaches for initiating and sustaining programs in colleges and universities.
COOPS is designed to provide information on getting an outdoor orientation program started, best practices, basic information for program operation and administration, and research specific to the Canadian context.
Whether you are thinking about starting a new program or already have one up and running, there is something here for you!
The 2012 keynote speaker was Dr. Brent Bell (University of New Hampshire), the leading expert on outdoor orientation programs in North America. Brent shared his insights as both an outdoor orientation program administrator and a researcher. His informative and entertaining presentation was one of the many highlights of the day.
