Children's Movement Program
The Children's Movement Program focuses on movement education using curriculum from the physical education program in the Department of Kinesiology.
The program helps aid in the development of children through educational gymnastics, creative dance, and developmental games. The program officially began in the fall of 1994, it was the vision of Andrea Roberts, who was a fourth year student who turned her thesis project into a new and inclusive program.
This program continues to run as a cooperative venture between the academic program and Recreation Services, with Janet Westbury serving as the curriculum advisor, and Karen McAllister-Kenny serving as the administrative advisor for the program.
