- Member of the Board of Directors, Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation, 1999-2002.
- Executive member (treasurer), Cardiac Rehabilitation Network of Ontario, 2000-2003.

- Special Advisor to the Ruler of Sharjah on the creation of a College of Kinesiology at the University of Sharjah, April 2006-December 2007.
- Appointed by the Government of Ontario for a two-year term as a member of the Transitional Council of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (2009–2011).
- Elected by the Transitional Council Members to be Vice-President of the Transitional Council of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (2009-2011).
