Officers of Instruction in the Department of Philosophy
Academic Years 1892-93 – 1930/31

The following three tables were built up out of entries in the University of Chicago Annual Register, following a two step procedure.

The names of the officers of instruction for the department were listed in the header for calendar listing each year. These names were extracted and an single overall list of instructors was created.

The names list was used to organize a second review of the names listed for each year, tracking their status as members of the Department, members of the University of Chicago faculty external to the Psychology Department or visiting faculty, primarily but not always teaching during the summer terms.
