REBUKES PROF. CATTELL
Representative Bathrick Resents Columbia Man’s Draft Proposal.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 12.— Representative Bathrick of Ohio made public his reply to a letter he received from Professor J. McK. Cattell of Columbia University, asking support for a proposal that no drafted army be sent abroad without consent of the soldiers.

"I am writing the President of Columbia University a request that you be fired, that you may have a freer hand to join Emma Goldman and the rest of the I. W. W.," Mr Bathrick wrote. "You then will not be so dangerous to your country as your are while using the letterheads of the great and honored Columbia University to propagated sedition and other kinds of trouble for your country during the present war."
