First Arrest Under White Slave Act 

CHICAGO, JULY 9. — The first arrest under the Mann White Slave act, approved by President Taft on June 25, was made yesterday. Miss M. Jenkins, a resort keeper of Houghton, Mich., was arrested by Deputy United States Marshals at the Union Station here just after she had bough tickets and boarded a train with five girls, whom she intended taking to Houghton.
