Teaching and Technology: A Collaborative Educational Showcase

The intent of the Brock Faculty of Education Teaching and Technology: A Collaborative Showcase is to provide a unique opportunity for pre-service teacher candidates, practicing teachers, school administrators and university faculty members to become acquainted with the latest technological innovations available to the education community.
Not merely a showcase, this collaborative event will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to also discuss how these innovations are being currently used in the classroom had how to fully capitalize of the potential of these innovations to take teaching with technology to the next level.
Technology vendors will benefit for this unique opportunity to make an impression with the teachers of tomorrow while being privy to the insight of practicing teachers about how they are currently using the available technological resources.
Each presentation will consist of a vendor introduction into the specifications and capabilities of the technological resource they represent. This will be followed by a practitioner presentation about how they are currently using the technological resources in their classroom. The presentation will conclude with a collaborative discussion about best practices regarding the specific resources and how to maximize its potential.
