Critical Literacy Research center at John DeCew
We are delighted that we have more requests for using and booking the research space at the Critical Literacy Center at John DeCew. Some people are using it on a daily basis and some merely want to book it for a few sessions. To meet everyone's needs, to ensure that space is used equitably and to ensure that things run smoothly, it is evident that we need to establish a few of policies.1. All bookings need to be done through Snezana. Send her an email telling her the date, the time, the duration and the space required.2. Please book at least a week in advance so she can inform other users.3. This is very important: for occasional use of long distance telephoning please use a calling card.4. If you answer a phone and the message is not for you, please tell the caller to call back and leave a voice message that can be picked up by the correct person.5. Please make sure that the small meeting room is ALWAYS unlocked.6. Please make sure that the entry door is ALWAYS locked--even if you just go down the hall for a minute.7. Everyone who wants into the area must apply for a swipe card. * this application can be found on the Faculty of Education web site at http://www.ed.brocku.ca/computing/swipecard.html * send the completed form to Anne for authorization * then it will go to Herman Yu for activation8. Please be aware that lab computers can be booked by everyone for use so make sure you set up your computer accounts and passwords.9.If you have a designated filling cabinet please make sure that it is locked when you leave.10. In the case of special bookings, regular users of this space are welcome to continue their work in the Faculty of Education Research Assistant Lab MC C208.
